Greetings to all the Lions of District 20K-1

A million thanks to all the wonderful lions in District 20 -K1 that have given me their unconditional support. You have provided to me with the enthusiasm need to lead and serve this district. I attribute my success to the solid foundation and guidance my parents Lions Lydia & Osvaldo Torres have always give me. I would not have considered this venture without the endless support of my family. My partner in serve Lion Melissa Torres has been a pillar in my life and has been the driving force in my campaign. She looks out for me and has given me 100% of her support. Words could not express my sincere thanks to my parents, wife and of course my loving children Michael and Brandon accepting that this is something I am doing in my life but I continue to love them. I know that as of July 1, 2006 I will become the Governor of District 20-K1, but the reason that I have achieve this accomplishment is due to the encouragement, time, and dedication all the members of the Brooklyn Caribe Lions Club have put into guaranteeing that I reach the position of Governor. I am eternally grateful to all of you for a job well done.

To all the Lions that attended the Md20 State Convention in Buffalo, I hope you enjoyed yourself at the Hospitality Parties from the Committee to elect Ozzie Torres & The Campaign Committee of VDG Joyce Cochran. We intended to provided the Lions of New York lots of fun, and an entertaining night.

During the month of June, Melissa and I have been to many club activities and Officers Installation, We have had a great time with the members of the clubs and the many parties we have been invited.

Thank you all for your words of encouragements and the support you provide me and Melissa.

My theme for the Lionistic Year 2006-2007 is

We Serve --- Fellowship - Friendship - Fun

When you became a Lion it was the start of a FELLOWSHIP in this organization.

You met many good people and become FRIENDS.

But most of all………………..

You have to have FUN when you go to the communities and help others.

The new Lionistic year is here and we have to work together as one body to accomplish our goals. Every community has a need, all we have to do is find what it is and meet that need.

Summer time is here lets have FUN by coming together and having our First District Picnic which will be on July 23,2006 in Flushing Meadow Park, Queens.
